OAD stands for Old Age Disability, meaning 'inability to care for oneself in old age. It refers to situations where individuals, aged 65 and above, are unable to take care of themselves due to accidents or illnesses
Unable to Bathing, Continence, Dressing, Eating, Mobility, Transfer
If an individual meets any three of the BCDEMT criteria and has their disability certified by two designated medical professionals for at least six consecutive months after reaching the age of 65, they can initiate their OAD long-term care insurance and make the claim.
